1095 steel is a high-carbon steel and will rust if not dried and oiled after use. Hand wash only with soap and hot water. Dry completely before oiling.

Knife Care & Maintenance

To preserve the razor-sharp edge and finish of your blade:

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap immediately after use.
Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth — never place in a dishwasher.
Apply a light food-grade mineral oil to high-carbon steel blades after cleaning.
Store in a wooden block, sheath, or knife roll to protect the cutting edge.
